The Annual Unabashed Ask for Cash Bash is a fundraiser gala supporting DPT's season of performances.
In need of a classy, yet fun theme, we settled on "Retro Magic." In the days of Houdini, a magic show was an upscale event, full of incredible stagecraft and spectacle.
Each invite came with a decoder to reveal a secret code. Using the phrase, "out of thin air" at the door gave guests the VIP treatment.
We hired a magician (who also performed at the gala) to create a few money-making magic tricks to promote the event.
